The Sister Studs

The Sister Studs are a collaborative piece between my sister and I. My sister designed the stamp in the center to look like a prairie fire, the flower that lines an I-35 drive in early spring. The stud itself is hand cut from a vintage earring found at a local shop in Austin, Texas. Once the earring is cut and stamped, it goes through the painting process in multiple steps, shading the flower, and surrounding it by light blue sky. In its final stage, the panels of the earring are coated in a durable 22-karat gold.

The earring set was designed to be both bold and collective, in alignment with The Neola Line—a line designed for statement, earthy pieces that are grounded in being connected to meaningful names, the places that balance us, and the memorable events in our lives.

This pair is available as a stud, and I also have one available pair as a clip-on set.
