Lily’s Raku Wind Chimes are both fire and water with their red and blue tones.
These handmade earrings are one of a kind. Each of the ten pieces in the wind chime endured the Japanese firing process called Raku.
In a short period of time, the ceramic pieces are heated, removed from the kiln quickly, and let to cool under a metal barrel with a mixture of natural elements including pine needles, dead leaves, and newspaper clippings. Once cooled, I get to see what jewelry pieces survived the process.
Each pair of the Raku wind chime earrings are intentionally and imperfectly matched with a copper penny glaze shimmering on the top.
*Modeled by Sarah Cohen Walker.
*Handmade and hand-painted ceramic earrings made with sterling silver and gold plated sterling silver. One-of-a-kind Raku clay earrings fired in Oklahoma City.
